The World Flows With You, Not Against You

Today’s guest post is by my talented young friend Brett over at daretoexpress.com enjoy 🙂

The Struggle

Too often in our lives, we feel as though we are alone in a river, struggling to make it upstream. We start to see everything as a struggle, and the world we live in appears to make that thought a reality. On some days, we feel like the world is truly against us. It fulfills Murphy’s famous law that states that “Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong,” and it shows itself in many ways during our days.

Perhaps you spill your coffee on yourself in the morning.

Or you go to work, only to find every single one of your coworkers in a bad mood. Or you arrive late for a job interview. Or you have a terrible case of writer’s block.

Or you begin to suspect your friends’ loyalty to you.

If we perceive anything to be negative and affecting us, while not being in control of it, then we think the world’s against us. The lack of control we have over random, often what we perceive to be negative, events, leads us to adopt a mindset where the world, is our enemy. Thus, most things that happen in life appear to conspire against us.

What ends up happening is since we subconsciously “know” that the world is against us, it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. When we think that the world is against us, it appears to be so because our mind pays attention to everything that makes sense to its existing belief structure. That is, when we believe that the world is against us, we only pick out and notice the things that make it seem like the world is, in fact, against us, when it really may not be.

The World Flows With You

You can disarm the belief that the world flows against you by replacing it with the opposite, much more beneficial belief: the world flows with you.

To manifest this belief takes no time at all: all you need to do is open your eyes. Just open your eyes to the way the world works, and choose to focus on the positives instead of the negatives. Decide to approach everything with the mindset of “the world flows with me” and life will take a turn for the better. I guarantee it.

You’ll eventually realize that, no matter what the world throws at you, you can roll with it. The world wouldn’t throw anything your way it knows you can’t handle. Want to know why? Because the world flows with you, not against you. It wants you to do well and be happy – if you choose to be.

You have to make the choice to surrender to the world and pick out the positives. Observe how the people who believe the world flows against them resist it incessantly by complaining. When you believe the world flows with you, you surrender because there’s no reason to resist something that is acting in your favor.

By implementing this simple change in thinking, your mind will always pick out the positives in situations, and minimize the negatives. You’ll feel much more empowered and be less stressed out. Suddenly, things that you were concerned about before the paradigm shift disappear, and life seems much better. You won’t have that sinking feeling in your stomach when you think things are going to go wrong.

Miss the bus? No worries. You can use that time to meditate or talk to some interesting person at the bus stop.

Friends stand you up? You can still go out and make new ones that will probably be cooler than them.

Someone rejects you coldly? They obviously weren’t a good match for you if they would be callous like that.

The list goes on and on in ways that you can observe that the world flows with you, even if you don’t think it does at the time. All you have to do is trust that the world will flow with you, and you’ll always see the positives in everything and everyone. You learn to roll with the punches, and after long enough, you don’t even feel them anymore. Life becomes an endless source of positivity to be savored – as it should be.

It’s just up to you to open your eyes – and your mind – to see it.

  1. THis is exactly the message i try to get accross to my loved ones…I know, when things seem to be going down…and down…and down…I need to step back and assess how I handle these things. I often find that if I change my own perspective…things start looking up. I hope to get my kids on board, cause there is nothing worse than seeing your child cry because they feel like EVERYTHING is worng!

Thanks for this…I think it might have been a sublte (or not so) reminder to get my head back in the game!!!

  2. nice empowering messege here! its helpful to have this outlook when you cant control what life throws at you; we just gotta make the most of what we have !!

    merry X-mas everyone

  3. I totally agree that focusing your mind to the postive is the thing to do. Like your idea about the bus stop. I have to say that for those of us who have the experience of using it and it working it is much easier than for those who read this for the first time and it doesn’t transpire right away. It does take some practice and for some people reminders from others. Love being in the state of flow.

  4. The purpose of my life is to follow the waves of life and accept it. It is hard. People always try to fight against it and they never will win.

  5. I am beginning to think you are right.

It seems for me if I am worried about how I’ll resopnd to a future situation then that seems to make what I am worried about come true.

If I were worried when I was little about how I’d react if my pants falling down in front of class at school chances are it would happen but maybe curbing my thought on such a silly matter and believing my own inner spirit may have caused the event to not happen?

I am actually surprised something like that didn’t happen.

  6. Especially since I have Autusim which gives the universe full authority to make fun of me and anytime I worry about how I’ll respond to an Anti-Autisum event then that event happens.

It’s REALLY hard to NOT worry about my responses.

Whenever I am worried about my Autisum being given away and feeling emarrsed to the point where I’d freak out those are the days it seems to happen compared if I trust my inner self.

Why is it that happpens when you are worried about how you respond.

As soon as you issue those thoughts “How am I EVER going to respond to this if event X conspires against me” then that event seems to go full speed ahead.

  7. This is a very good website to go to in order to learn how to make the most of the world:

I am convinced that we live in a giant concentration camp where negative energies are desinged to torture us but it’s up to us to manipulate the manipulators.
    (non-mainstream)
Scientists have found amazing things recently that have proven the world is not really solid but the Global Elitist are shutting them out for money and power.

I personally have bad luck with electornics that uses computer chips where it’s always problems no techican has heard of but perhaps my inner self wants me to live without computers for something later in my life so I am being more positive.

I also have bad-luck with people-relationship where anybody that has ever been kind/understanding are always (on the run) from me and I struggle downstream so I am (mentally) happy to walk alone as I am not capable of emotions unless they go out of control.

  8. These manipulators respect free will so once you rise above them they cannot harm you but it’s the going that gets tough.
